RAB Lighting Announces 100,000-Hour LED Lifespan Across its Entire Portfolio of LED Products

RAB Lighting, the leading manufacturer of affordable LED lighting, has announced an LED lifespan rating of 100,000 hours for its full line of LED fixtures. This announcement follows the recent publication by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) of Technical Memorandum 21 (TM-21) that provides guidance for calculating LED lifespan and sets a standard by which all LED fixtures can be judged.

Flexible headlight design with Oslon Compact LEDs

Osram Opto Semiconductors announces the prototype of the Oslon Compact, currently the most compact high-power LED for the automotive market. Thanks to the flexible arrangement of these small LEDs it will be much easier and more cost-effective to create unique, signature headlight designs. A prototype of the Oslon Compact LED will be unveiled by the automotive semiconductor specialist from Regensburg in October at the SIA Vision conference in Versailles (France, October 9/10).

Leva Task Lamp

The task lamp is kicked up a notch with the Leva, master Architect Massimo Iosa Ghini's latest creation for Leucos USA brand ITRE. Its structure is composed of beech wood with a natural enameled finish and edgy steel components. An LED beams through its unconventional diffuser. Made of opal white Poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA), this diffuser boasts a subtle grid of orbs through which much of the light is delivered.

Elektralite introduces eye Kandy fixture to its pro line of LEDs at InfoComm

Elektralite, manufacturer of a diverse range of lighting fixtures, controllers and effects, is pleased to announce the addition of the eye Kandy fixture to its Pro Line of LEDs. At the heart of Elektralite’s eye Kandy is a 200-watt white LED running at 150 watts for long life and reliability.
