  • March 10, 2010: IES Sections are offering a webcast entitled “Sustainable Lighting Control for Residences and Commercial Building Commissioning,” at 7 pm (EST). This webcast enables participants to learn how controls can lower energy use while providing a variety of options for different at-home tasks, including family rooms, media rooms, home offices, exterior security lighting and daylight control for residential projects; how to engage with local contractors for installation and training, as well as program “tweaking” on a long-term basis; how commercial commissioning is becoming more important in ensuring that controls are properly installed and operated according to specifications. Learn how to start a project with the right tools and design controls in mind, plus the tips and pitfalls of the end-of-project commissioning process. Join colleagues at a participating IES Section Meeting. CEU’s AIA LUs 1.5 available. If you are unable to attend an IES Section meeting, you can order the On-Demand Recording from your own computer and phone. Cost: $295 Registration begins on January 4.
