enLIGHTen: IES International Year of Light Photo Contest 2015
In celebration of 2015 as the International Year of Light as proclaimed by UNESCO, the Emerging Professionals of IES (Illuminating Engineering Society) are giving you a reason to share your love for lighting for the next 6 months. Every month we will announce a “Theme of the Month” to which you will post “lighting” photos related to the chosen theme. You can post as many photos as you wish and at the end of each month, for bragging rights only, we will announce our favourite photo of the month. In August, a group of industry professional judges will select the top 3 entrants based on their photo originality, uniqueness, relevance to the theme of the month, activity and interaction with the public.

LEUKOS - The journal of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America

LEUKOS, The Journal of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America is an online, quarterly journal edited by Kevin W. Houser, The Pennsylvania State University. LEUKOS is now published by Taylor and Francis on behalf of the IES. Nonmembers can explore LEUKOS at http://www.tandfonline.com/ulks. IES Members can access LEUKOS on the Membership Services page after logging in.

LEUKOS is an international venue for the publication of technical developments of current interest or of lasting importance in illuminating engineering and lighting design. With LEUKOS, the traditional scope of the Society's journal has been broadened to include 5 types of publications: Scientific research results; Engineering developments; Technical aspects of lighting applications; Tutorial articles or critical reviews; and Brief communications.

The scope of LEUKOS, defined by the five types of articles listed above, is meant to provide the international lighting community with information that is topical as well as archival; in disciplines both directly and indirectly related to lighting.

In addition, a printed edition of all four online issues is scheduled each year for September availability, and is provided to archival subscribers as part of their subscription fee. IES members, who receive free access to LEUKOS as a benefit of membership, may purchase this compilation issue at a cost of $25.00. The four annual Internet issues make information available to general subscribers in a timely fashion. The printed compilation of all four issues is included with an institutional/non-member subscription and provides a record for libraries and others with archival requirements.
