DOE will host a webinar to present highlights from a new market study on OLED lighting entitled OLED Lighting Products: Capabilities, Challenges, Potential. Focusing on the potential for architectural OLED lighting, the report describes the current state of available products and details technology and market hurdles. It also tries to bridge the communication gap between the needs and goals of OLED manufacturers, the product needs of the lighting specification community, and the needs of luminaire manufacturers in committing to OLED products.
The new report follows a recent GATEWAY field study documenting the installation of OLEDs as ambient lighting in an office, and will in turn be followed by a CALiPER analysis of commercially available OLED products, based on photometric testing and product teardowns.
Presented by Naomi Miller and Felipe Leon of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, the webinar will be held on July 28, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. EDT, and will include a 45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute live Q&A session. Additional information about the webinar can be found on the registration page.
