    Objective: Examine common lighting maintenance procedures and the central components of an effective planned maintenance program. 
      
    Learning Outcomes: Participants will be able to ...  
    • Describe typical lighting system behavior(s)
    • Identify those light loss factors that can successfully be addressed by maintenance
    • Demonstrate an understanding of a recent study on determining this factor and new (LDD) that gives new recommendations on determining this factor and new information significant to the luminaire count required in contemporary designs
    • Describe in detail—and apply—all components of an effective maintenance program, including planning, operations, methods, materials and troubleshooting.

    The Seminar Series is designed for those who have already completed Lighting Fundamentals or comparable courses offered in industry or academia. Each seminar can be taught separately or in combination with others. The Seminars are offered as courses by the IES Sections and other recognized education providers, enabling participants who pass the courses to receive IES Continuing Education Units or AIA Learning Units. Contact your local IES Section for information regarding seminar offerings.
