Committee Purpose, Scope And Documents

Purpose

The Ethics Committee, which is comprised of IES members who do not sit on the IES Board of Directors, shall be responsible for reviewing the IES Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct and recommending any amendments to the IES Board of Directors for approval. In addition, the committee oversees the complaint and disciplinary process as outlined in the policies.

Cheryl is the Vice President of Public Policy for Acuity Brands. She served as President for the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) in 2017-2018 and has been active in the Society for over 40 years. She is a Fellow in the IES, and a recipient of the Marks Award and Distinguished Service Award (DSA). Cheryl serves on the Board of Managers for the National Electrical Manufacturers Association and received the NEMA Kita and Key award. She is a past board member of the National Institute for Building Sciences.
