[8.16] The period required for the parameters of the lamps under test to become constant. During this period, the discharge element collects at the coolest zone(s) of the lamp. Because the distribution of the element within the discharge significantly affects the operating characteristics of the lamp, the stabilization time is necessary to obtain repeatable measurements. This is also sometimes referred to as warm-up time.
