This class, held on 9 consecutive Wednesday evenings, is a joint IES San Francisco and PG&E Energy Center series and is a great technical intro to lighting for those entering the lighting fields, including designers, salespeople, energy specialists, contractors, and specifiers.
Each approximately 3-hour module covers a different aspect of lighting and is taught by an industry professional. Topics include lighting characteristics such as properties of light, color, and color rendering; metrics for measuring light and energy efficiency; vision; daylighting; light sources, fixtures, and controls; calculations; and lighting applications. Registration is limited.
