About this event

Join us for an exciting education program that will include a discussion with the panelists on luminaire craftmanship regarding housing materials, installation, servicing and use considerations for common interior downlights and troffers.

Attendees will learn:

  • What differences to notice between good, better, and best luminaires with regards to housing materials, ease of installation, and servicing.
  • Specific materials needed for certain applications.

Speaker Bios:

Panelist 1: Marc Kassay – COO of LumenFocus. LumenFocus is a US based manufacturer, located in Henderson, North Carolina. Engaged in the design and manufacture of high efficiency LED luminaires and UVFocus germicidal products for use in commercial, industrial, healthcare and institutional applications.

Panelist 2: Brad Rodeghiero – Vice President and founder of Helios Lighting Incorporated in 2018 with the vision to make downlighting easy. Easy to specify, purchase, install and maintain. Previous to this Brad held various roles during a 11 year career at Hubbell Lighting, culminating as the Director of Downlighting New Product Development.

Panelist 3: Brad Watford
– Syska Hennessey – Supervisor /PE

Brad Watford, PE is a licensed professional electrical engineer with 21 years of design and engineering experience. As a professional engineer, Brad holds an active electrical engineering license in 24 states. His design experience ranges from commercial facilities to heavy industrial facilities, and specializes in advanced technology facilities such as pharmaceutical, biotech, research and development and data centers. Brad is also an unlimited licensed electrician with 30 years of hands-on installation experience supporting the residential, commercial, and heavy industrial market sectors throughout his career.

Brad is currently with the Syska Hennessy Group serving as the Supervising Electrical Engineer for the Raleigh, NC office. Brad’s team of engineers and designers deal with illumination in unique environments on a daily basis. Luminaire fabrication is a top concern in specialized environments.
