Description: LLLC can eliminate the burden of time-intensive lighting controls design. Complicated control zone identification, wiring design and energy code requirements can be streamlined by leveraging LLLC capabilities. This training will review todays technology, its capabilities & the resources available to streamline the design & installation process.

Chris MeekChris Meek is Associate Professor of Architecture at the University of Washington and Director of the Center for Integrated Design at the University’s College of Built Environments. His areas of research include building energy performance for new construction and retrofits, daylighting, visual comfort, electric lighting, and climate responsive design. Over the past decade, Professor Meek has consulted on over 20 million square feet of commercial and institutional buildings including working, learning, and healing environments including the net-zero energy Bullitt Center in Seattle. His research has been funded by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance, the National Science Foundation, the US Department of Energy, the Illuminating Engineering Society, the Bullitt Foundation, and the American Institute of Architects.

Angela PilantAngela Pilant has over 25 years of experience working within the lighting and energy industries. She has a diverse background working as a utility specialist, manufacturer’s representative and as a consultant, working side by side with customers to upgrade their facilities with energy efficient technology. She has worked at Evergreen Consulting Group since 2009 and specializes in market and trend analysis, utility program development, client engagement strategies and training. Angela is a certified instructor for the Building Operator Certification Program (BOC) and has developed and conducted cross-industry curriculum, including Sales Training, throughout the country. She has earned a Lighting Certified Professional designation from the National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions (NCQLP).
