Join us on Friday, February 10th, at noon for Lighting 101 series panel discussion featuring local talent and industry experts. We’re excited to share with you the wide breath of knowledge our panel brings in their discussion of “What you need to know about specifying lighting and controls.”

Our speakers boast different backgrounds in the lighting and controls industry, with a focus of discussion on the latest trends in lighting and controls in construction today. Our panel will discuss current issues in the industry, Value Engineering topics, and things to know and look for when specifying lighting and controls to ensure the correct design is implemented and carries through to completion of the project.

Speakers:
Glenn EdmundsGlenn Edmunds is the President / CEO of GreenTech Solutions Group LLC, with over 13 years focused in the Lighting and controls industry. Through the advancement of new technologies and key partners, GreenTech Solutions Group LLC is committed to promoting cost-effective lighting and energy reduction solutions in commercial and industrial applications while empowering clients with the understanding of such technologies to make the best investment decisions.

Sam WurstSam Wurst works in Specification Sales for KB Stephens, a manufacturers rep agency serving Eastern NC. Sam has over 7 years of experience, he has assisted architects and engineers with lighting specifications for projects including, offices, healthcare, and education. He has also lead pre-construction meetings with electrical contractors to review lighting controls, helping to ensure a smooth installation and commissioning process. Sam graduated from NC State with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Greg JohnsonGreg Johnson is a Senior Electrical Designer with Loring Consulting Engineers, with over 15 years of experience in the industry. His experience focuses on designing power distribution, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems, predominantly for projects in healthcare and higher education. He is experienced in designing hospital patient care areas including operating rooms and various medical imaging facilities, in both new construction and retrofit projects.

Brandon OwensBrandon Owens is the Mid Atlantic Territory Manager at Paratus Service Group, and currently manages the NYC and DC markets for Paratus Service Group where his primary clients are building engineers. Brandon has over 6 combined years in the lighting industry with a concentration on the commercial, hospitality and residential sectors.
