Our Virtual Luncheon series continues with Lighting for Outside Pedestrian Spaces – Meet the New IES Documents LP-2 and RP-43!

Shirley Coyle, VP & GM, Canada at Cree Lighting will take you through the design recommendations that are unique to pedestrian areas such as parks, civic squares, waterways, plazas, restaurants, sports fields, and sculpture gardens.

This session will cover focal points, colour, safety, visibility of others, consideration for critters, minimizing intrusive light and skyglow, and it will include a review of recommendations and supportive tables.

Shirley Coyle, LCShirley Coyle is with Cree Lighting, a market-leading innovator of LED lighting and controls. Shirley is VP & GM of the Canadian business unit for Cree Lighting. She has more than 30 years’ experience in the lighting industry. Shirley is a Past President of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), where she spent 7 years on the national Board of Directors. Shirley is active on several IES committees, including the committee on Lighting for Outdoor Pedestrian Spaces, the Roadway Lighting Committee, and the Street & Area Lighting Conference Committee. She is also a member of CIE’s Canadian national committee.
