Passionate about lighting, IES Section Monterrey invites you to the conference via GoToMeeting:
“Luminaires in WELL v2”
Conference by Carl Knutson and Susana Babic.
The WELL Building Standard uses the sustainable built environment as a vehicle to support human health, well-being and comfort. It fuses best practices in design and construction with evidence-based health wellness and biophilic interventions. This allows the design of spaces that help improve the nutrition, physical fitness, mood, sleep, comfort, performance and safety of its occupants, achieved in part by implementing strategies to promote safer lifestyles and reducing the exposure of the occupants. occupants to harmful situations.
The technological integration of lighting with other project areas provides an additional action plan to obtain higher scores towards certification and provides the opportunity for bio-disinfection protocols for COVID19.
During the conference it will be identified how WELL acts as a tool to create the need for healthier spaces, complementing LEED; the concepts of Lighting, Sound and Innovation will be analyzed; how to obtain credits in Lighting will be evaluated; Acoustic lighting and lighting disinfection procedures will be explored. A Perkins + Will project will be presented as a case study.
