Learning objectives are as follows:

  • What changed from 2016 to 2020? Learn how changes to energy codes affect lighting and lighting control project design and applications.
  • How do individual codes stack up? Recognize the differences between the IECC and ASHRAE paths, at both the state and NYC levels.
  • How are new lighting technologies integrated? Understand application examples as codes adopt to new and changing lighting technologies.
  • Why is the NYC code more stringent? Learn about the NYC changes and local laws that are moving the code.

​About The Speaker: Marty Salzberg has been a renown member of the lighting design community for her entire career. Presently, she is an instructor at the New York School of Interior Design and the Building Energy Exchange. Her work experience includes award-winning stints at Cline Bettridge Bernstein Lighting Design and Flack & Kurtz Consulting Engineers. Having received her education from Parsons School of Design and Brandeis University, Marty is an active member of several industry organizations including IES and IALD. In addition to teaching, Marty continues to educate the lighting/electrical industry through her participation as an educational speaker with various organizations and events.
