Description:
Over the past 5 years, SMUD has completed several commercial and residential circadian lighting projects and has seen a common thread: the power of cuing for routines. This workshop will cover how circadian lighting can benefit the health and daily lives of individuals but will focus primarily on how correlated color temperature changes throughout the day can create beneficial routines in the lives of seniors, children and everyone in between.

Presenter:
Connie SamlaConnie Samla is SMUD’s Lighting Specialist working in the Energy Education & Technology Center helping customers with lighting with over twenty-five years’ experience. At SMUD, Connie develops and teaches workshops and works on R&D projects for new technology as well as circadian lighting. Connie has a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering, a Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Studies, is a registered electrical engineer, past president of the local IES chapter, is lighting certified and has taught lighting design classes at California State University Sacramento.
