Webinar: Visible Light Disinfection

This session will provide an overview of disinfection with lighting, how UV disinfection and visible lighting disinfection differ, and identify the benefits of narrow spectrum disinfection light. Learning objectives are:
- The attendee will be able to understand what the UV disinfection spectrum consists of.
- The attendee will gain knowledge of potential health risks and material implications involved with UV light.
- The attendee will acquire an understanding of visible light disinfection and it’s benefits compared to UV.
- The attendee will gain awareness on where visible light disinfection can be utilized effectively to increase public safety and health.
This seminar qualifies for 1 hour of CEU credit.
About The Speaker: David Venhaus is currently Manager of Training and Curriculum Development in Hubbell Lighting’s Lighting Solution Center. Prior to this position, David was an optical engineer with over 20 years of experience designing light fixtures ranging from vehicle headlights and tail lights to commercial and architectural luminaires. He holds multiple patents on optical systems and is NCQLP LC certified. David holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
