The board also approved an alternate proposal to spend an additional $8,800 to retrofit the high school gym with LED lighting. According to a lighting audit performed by McKinstry, the district’s construction consulting firm, the existing fluorescent fixtures in the gym would be replaced with new LED high bay fixtures, bringing lighting levels up to Illuminating Engineering Society standards for high school competition.   Read more
