Paul Tarricone has more than 25 years of experience in association and business-to-business publishing, specializing in the engineering, design, construction and facilities management markets. Mr. Tarricone currently serves as Editor and Publisher of Lighting Design + Application, the official magazine of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. The magazine has won a number of EXCEL, Association Trends and TABBIE awards for editorial excellence and design.

Previously, he spent six years at Facilities Design & Management magazine, where he served in a variety of editorial and management positions, including executive editor, director of editorial projects and publisher. Under his stewardship, the magazine won two awards for editorial excellence and spun off several ancillary products including a newsletter and conference on facilities management outsourcing.

Before joining Facilities Design & Management, Mr. Tarricone spent six years with the American Society of Civil Engineers, writing and editing for two award-winning publications—Civil Engineering magazine and the Journal of Management in Engineering. As an editor at Civil Engineering, Paul covered stories including the Boston Harbor clean-up, the reconstruction of Kuwait after the Gulf War and Atlanta’s construction program leading up to the 1996 Summer Olympics. His article on state-of-the-art bridge inspection techniques was published in the U.S. Congressional  Record and his article on hurricane-preparedness was part of Civil Engineering’s award-winning issue on natural disasters.

Mr. Tarricone holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Franklin & Marshall College and participated in New York University’s Magazine Publishing program.
