This highlights the Society’s dedication to not only improving itself, but to having a broader impact on the entire industry.”

Brian Liebel, Technical Director of Standards, remarked on Lien’s appointment, “Mark is well-known in the lighting industry and is well respected not only for what he knows but also for who he is as a person.  As a former member of the IES Board, he is intimately familiar with IES interests and he’s worked with other organizations making him uniquely qualified to represent the IES.   His forward-thinking and holistic perspective will prove invaluable to the IES, and I am really looking forward to working with him.”
