The IES holds bi-annual Research Symposia and periodic Research Workshops. These events strengthen the lighting research community, promote awareness of the latest research trends, and foster connections with other fields of study.

IES Research Symposia are organized by the IES Research Symposium Committee and have been held since 2012. For details and materials from past symposia, see the links below. Information on the next Research Symposium, to be held in 2018, is forthcoming.
