This recently revised introductory course, comprised of ten modules, replaces the popular 2009 edition and is available in PDF  format. The modules of the revised Fundamentals of Lighting (FOL) are re-structured for better flow of topics and offer greater choices in selecting topics, depending on student needs. Each module includes textual material, student handout pages for note-taking, quizzes, and additional references. FOL is offered by the IES Sections and other recognized education providers, enabling participants who pass the course to receive IES Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or AIA Learning Units (LUs). Contact your local IES Section for information regarding dates and times. Fundamentals of Lighting can be purchased independently, without IES Section Instruction. Completing the course materials does not include eligibility for IES continuing educational credits without IES prior approval of instructional supervision.
