spatial daylight autonomy (sDA)

A measure of daylight illuminance sufficiency for a given area, reporting a percentage of floor area that exceeds a specified illuminance (e.g., 300 lux) for a specified percentage of the analysis period.*

An annual daylighting metric that quantifies the fraction of the area within a space for which the daylight autonomy exceeds a specified value.
