Included subject matter: The scope includes upgrades for retrofits and redesigns. Excluded subject matter: This committee does not cover initial or new lighting designs outside the realm of upgrades.

Committee Chair - Allyn E. Hetzke
A.J. has been professionally involved in the lighting industry for over 34 years, and began upgrading commercial lighting systems in 1986. He has experience designing and specifying indoor and outdoor lighting projects of all types. He founded IlluminFx after inventing the first fiber optic lighting kit designed specifically for ponds and water gardens, for which he received a US Patent. AJ has been published in Pondkeeper Magazine, Irrigation and Green Industry Magazine, and various other lighting and facilities related publications, and has been quoted in many different trade publications including Water Garden News and Landscape Contractor National. Further, he has lectured and taught lighting seminars for industry trade groups and companies such as Kodak, Marriott, ACE Hardware, WW Grainger and others, and has led pond lighting seminars nationwide at various conferences. He is IES District Chair of District 2, is a past president and current VP of the Rochester, NY section and is also a member of the Association of Energy Engineers. He earned the designation of Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional in 1993.
