[10.6.2.72] In the theater, a metal cut-out pattern of suitable size to fit in the holder or aperture of an ellipsoidal reflector spotlight. In motion pictures, a flag, usually opaque, that may be made with diffusing material. It can also be an opaque diffusing “cookie.” (See cucoloris.)
