Committee Leadership
Committee Chair - James A. Morgan
James A. Morgan’s profession is a Controls and Specification Consultant and has been actively engaged in this trade specialty since 2018 with Spectrum Lighting + Controls. Currently, James performs control layouts, photometric calculations, lighting design, and consulting for mostly commercial applications. James describes himself as a family man, with one young son. They live in the beautiful suburb of Germantown, TN; just outside of Memphis. In additional to lighting, his other passion in life is coding — James is a professional web developer on the side. He does freelance work on projects that he finds will bring satisfaction, not necessarily much monetarily. James’ future goals include giving back to the lighting industry by providing his insights into raising the bar for standards & practices. Also, he believes there are positive human health benefits associated with light, shadow and nature–through the emotional aspects related to good lighting design. James wishes to provide research and data relating to this, so that future advancements can be made.
