Purpose
This Technical Committee researches and develops best practices for the commissioning of lighting systems in the built environment, and for compliance with Owner’s Project Requirements.
Scope
Included subject matter: The scope includes the technical requirements for commissioning lighting and control systems to achieve owner performance criteria in new construction. Excluded subject matter: This committee does not cover retro-commissioning or commissioning for facilities that have not been previously commissioned.

Committee Chair - Lyn Gomes
Lyn is the chair for LP-8 (DG-29 update!) and was the vice-chair for LP-16. She is known for her expertise in lighting and control system commissioning as well as sequences of operation. She is an MEP Coordinator for DPR Construction. She uses her 20+ years of experience to start up integrated systems for HVAC, electrical/lighting, control systems, fire protection, backup power, and technology. In her spare time (lol), she’s on the board of the Building Commissioning Association as well as co-chair of the annual conference, teaches classes on lighting controls, co-chair for the new standard on control sequences for lighting control systems, and supports Techbridge, an afterschool STEM program.
