Richard Mistrick is an Associate Professor of Architectural Engineering at Penn State University, where he teaches and conducts research on lighting and daylighting design, metrics, and systems modeling. He is active on numerous technical committees of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IES), including the Nomenclature, Daylighting, and Daylight Metrics Committees, and is Chair of the Conference Papers Subcommittee. He has authored dozens of technical and journal papers, was one of the four editors of the 2011 edition of the IES Lighting Handbook, and chaired the task group that recently revised LM-83.
