Spectral Light Meter Obtains WELL Eligibility

The MSC15-CS spectral circadian light meter by Germany-based manufacturer Gigahertz-Optik, known for UV-VIS-NIR optical radiation measurement tools, has received the Works with WELL trademark offered through the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). This alignment between organizations marks that the light meter supports two lighting optimization strategies, L02.1 and L03.1, in the WELL Building Standard (WELL), which focuses on advancing people’s well-being through evidence-based strategies. L02.1-Visual Lighting Design stipulates that products must provide visual comfort and more for regular end users in all age groups, while L03.1-Circadian Lighting Design stipulates that products must provide end users with appropriate exposure to light to maintain circadian health amidst the day-night cycle. The meter received the trademark after a third-party review of the IWBI application.
