saturation of a perceived color

[4.3.1.3] The attribute according to which it appears to exhibit more or less chromatic color, judged in proportion to its brightness. In a given set of viewing conditions, and at luminance levels that result in photopic vision, a stimulus of a given chromaticity exhibits approximately constant saturation for all luminances.
